Nursing Laboratories
As it is evident that Nursing subjects are mainly based on
practical aspects covered under syllabus and its performance
in Hospitals and Laboratories. In view of this, the
institute has formed all the required laboratories equipped
with Modern equipments and instruments for student nurses
exposure & training to various areas of Nursing programme.
All the laboratories are well designed in such a manner that
it provides not only conductive learning but also a better
safe working environment and subsequently to incorporate
theory in to practice.
1.
Nursing
Foundation Lab

Fundamental lab is well equipped with adequate equipments
such as Nelson inhaler, oxygen cylinder & mask, suction
apparatus, bronchoscopy, NG tube, first aid box, various
disinfectants and modern instruments. 10 mannequins and 2
mobile CPR model on which students are allowed to practice
their procedures before encountering the patients. 20-25
students can practice at a time.

Child Health Nursing lab
Child health nursing has all the modern amenities with 2
pediatric mannequins and all the necessary articles needed
for the students to perform their child health care
procedures. Provision of Play toys, infant meter, weighing
machine, Growth charts are an added feature to the Lab.
3.
Maternity Health Nursing Lab
The lab is equipped with 2 mannequins, models of pelvis,
fetal skull, placenta and spongy fetuses to practice
different mechanisms of labour. It is also equipped with
variety of instruments, contraceptives devies and labour
kit.
4.
Community Health Nursing Lab

Community lab is equipped with adequate community bags,
instruments, AV aids, weighing machine, models and family
folders and can accommodate 20-25 students to practice the
procedures at a time.
5.
Nutrition Lab
The Nutrition Lab is equipped with separate Gas stoves &
cylinders. Crockery, cutlery, adequate fuel etc and storage
system is available. Vegetables, Grains, cereals, pulses and
other groceries are made available for the cookery practice
for the nursing students practice.
6.
Biochemistry & Microbiology
A separate lab for biochemistry & microbiology is available
in the campus. Biochemistry lab is well equipped with test
tube stand, test tube holder, test tubes, burners & various
types of solutions for practicing/carrying out Biochemical
tests. Microbiology lab is equipped with numerous
microscopes, specimen slides & autoclaves etc.
7.
Anatomy & Physiology Lab

A separate lab for anatomy & physiology is available in the
college premises with cadavers, skeletons and different
specimens for creative learning. Equipped with different
types of Chart & posters of various body organs that
enhances learners Understanding.
8. AV Aids Lab

AV Aids lab provides environment for realistic perception,
it enhances the learner’s experience. It is equipped with
OHP, LCD, Epidiascope, Slide projectors, models, Charts etc.
9. Computer Lab

A state of the art computer lab with newest version
computers with installation of various educational software
packages.
ü
The institute has well furnished, latest upgraded computer
operating systems with fully air conditioned computer
laboratory.

Entire computers are well connected to internet facility
round the clock,
ü
Routine computer training is provided to the students under
the supervision of trained computer professionals that help
to enhance their computer knowledge and cope up with
technology & new learning skills.

Library
-
A well
equipped library is one of the pillars of a progressive
forward looking education system. The spacious library of
this institution affords a rich reference section of
necessary books to fulfill the needs of the students joining
the professional program.
- College
has a well designed library which provides up to date
reference on papers and course materials of Indian & foreign
authored books.
- Libraries
possess a combination of both national and international
nursing journals for up to date information to the students.
- General
magazines/news papers are subscribed on routine that enables
students to be aware of the basic knowledge and current
affairs going all around the world.
Library rules & regulations for the students
ü
Library remains open from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm during the
college working days.
ü
All readers and students are required to maintain discipline
in the library.
ü
Students are allowed to borrow maximum of 2 books for a
period of 7 days per individual library card. Students are
not permitted to borrow library book behalf on the card of
another student and books issued from the library should be
returned back before the said last date of returning (i.e. 7th
day).
ü
Students who fails to replace the library book before the
said last date, a fine of Rs 5/day will be charged.
ü
In case of lost book/lost library card/damaged book it
should be reported immediately in writing to the librarian
and appropriate fee, will be charged from the student
depending upon the book price.
ü
Eatables /drinks are not allowed in the library premises &
Mobile phone use is restricted in the library premises.
