started its journey by establishing, Lajjiawati Jain
Memorial Nursing Institute in the year 2005 with the aim of
generating qualified nurses in order to meet the health
needs of the individuals, the family and the present
community.
The institute focuses to deliver high
quality, comprehensive, integrated medical education
including innovative thoughts towards modern technology and
research. We provide the finest infrastructure and
facilities to our students when it comes to learning and
research along with experienced and dedicated faculty,
outstanding clinical facilities, and a world-class
environment that supports education.
The college is recognized by the Indian
Nursing Council (New Delhi), Punjab Nurses Registration
Council (Chandigarh) and Govt. of Punjab; affiliated to Baba
Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot (Pb)

pleasant and peaceful atmosphere of greenery that is
enclosed within the boundaries. The campus enjoys a dual

facilities from the city as well as avoiding the polluted

The college is equipped with class rooms,
Nursing arts, Community health, midwifery, anatomy,
biochemistry & microbiology lab & nutrition laboratories,
teaching aids & a departmental library Our college also
subscribes to journals and makes audio- video material &
equipment available to the students. Hostel facilities with
modern amenities are available to our student on the campus.
The atmosphere in the college is very congenial for
professional growth & development.
There is rising demand of trained nursing
staff not only in our country but also from all developing
and developed nations of the world. Countries like U.S.A,
Canada, U.K., Sweden, Germany, Australia, Newzealand and
France are on the top of the list leading to
increasing demand of the trained nursing personnels in the
country.
Realizing the need for such quality education
in Nursing, specifically in the MALWA region, Lajjiawati
Jain Memorial Charitable Society (Regd.), Raikot has set its
foot & established Lajjiawati Jain Memorial Nursing
Institute, Jalaldiwal, Raikot is an effort to serve the
citizens of MALWA region be the torch bearers in serving the
society across the globe.
Institute offers ANM (Auxilliary Nurse &
Midwife); Diploma in General Nursing (G.N.M.), Degree in
nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. The
Syllabus and the minimum requirements as laid down by the
Indian Nursing Council and amendments from time to time are
applicable to all the course conducted by this college.
Philosophy of Nursing
The
document philosophy that guides the nursing knowledge in
humanism that defines about the nature of human beings and
human environment relationship. It emphasizes on humanistic
& moral values of caring and promotion of individual welfare
& rights. It is an art of healing mankind with service &
selflessness as the core traits.
The
philosophy of a nursing school defines core values
statements about both practice & teaching of nursing. Our
faculty believes about the education of nursing which
reflects the values, beliefs, goals or opinions agreed upon
by members of the school faculty. The philosophy of nursing
education determines the aims, objectives, content, method
of teaching and evaluation.
Objective of Educational Programmes.
1. Basic
Course in nursing is a formal educational preparation, which
should be based on educational principles & to make students
as an individual a citizens as well as nurse.
2. The aim is
to prepare nurses for first level position in nursing both
in hospital & community to provide primary, secondary,
tertiary health care.
3. To make
good understanding of
basic scientific principles.
4. To make a
student skilled in good communication essential for learning
& practice of nursing.
5.
To impart
up-to-date knowledge to students & equip them with skills
required for quality nursing care based on scientific
principles.
6. To develop
an ability to plan and implement nursing care for health,
prevention of diseases, rehabilitation and in meeting
emergency situation.
7. To develop
an understanding of biologist & behavioral sciences applied
in meeting the nursing needs of individual students. |
